Elfventure Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms are between you and Ashley Bennett, trading as Saassy SaaS ("we", "us"). By using Elfventure you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. On the App Store these terms apply alongside Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement; on Google Play, alongside the Google Play Terms of Service.
1. Who can use the app
The app is for adults (18 or over) who are parents or carers. Children may watch, listen to and read content in Kid Mode that an adult has prepared for them. You are responsible for setting a PIN, keeping it private, deciding which features are switched on for each child, and for what you choose to make and show to your children.
2. What you make
- You may use the cards, videos, voicemails, calls, pictures and clips you make for your family's personal, non-commercial enjoyment, including sharing them with family and friends.
- Videos, pictures, voices and chat replies are made by artificial intelligence. Results can be imperfect or surprising, and no two are the same. Please watch or listen to an item before you show it to a child.
- Only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not upload photos of people (especially children), documents, screens or anything private. Use photos of rooms, doors, surfaces, your house and sky, or your own elf toy.
- Do not use the app to make anything unlawful, harmful, hateful, sexual or frightening, or anything that imitates a real person. Our safety checks may refuse a request; if they do, no coins are used.
- Every item you make carries a Report this option. If something is wrong, please report it.
3. Coins
- Free features: cards, the Elf Planner, the Kindness Constellation, Christmas Around the World, the Santa Tracker and, for older children, a limited number of chats with Father Christmas each day are free.
- Coins pay for elf videos, doorbell videos, "Animate My Elves" clips, sleigh videos, video calls, voicemails, evidence pictures and bedtime-story packs. Each feature shows its price in coins before you make anything.
- Coins are a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and coins never expire.
- If an item cannot be made, the coins for it are returned automatically.
- Coins are stored on the phone they were bought on. Purchases are tied to your Apple or Google account, and Restore purchases re-applies purchases the store recognises; items you have made and your coin balance are not stored by us, so if you delete the app or use Delete everything, items are gone and unused coins may not be recoverable.
4. Fair use
The app is for normal family use. To protect the service from automated abuse, features that generate content are subject to reasonable daily limits (for example, a set number of chats with Father Christmas per child per day). The limits reset at midnight on your phone.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are taken by Apple or Google under their terms, and refunds of purchases are handled by them: for the App Store, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, through your Google Play order history. Coins for a failed item are returned by the app automatically and do not need a store refund. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the app running, but it depends on internet services provided by others and may sometimes be unavailable. Items you have already made and saved keep working without a connection. We may change or stop features, especially outside the Christmas season. If we withdraw a paid feature while you hold coins, we will offer a fair remedy as required by law.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its elves and characters, artwork, stories, scripts, voices and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell or redistribute them, except that you may keep and share the personal items you make for your family as described in section 2. "Elfventure" is our trading name for the app; other product names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners.
8. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.
9. Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it. We may suspend the service to anyone who misuses it or breaks these terms.
10. Privacy
How the app handles information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of your local consumer law and may bring claims in your local courts.
